Hispanic Dating App Chispa Names Sensis as PR Agency of Record

Chispa, the largest dating app designed for Hispanic singles in the United States, has named Sensis its new PR agency of record, leading both earned media and public relations. 

With more than six million total downloads to date, Chispa has already enabled nearly 145 million matches. “Sensis is a strategic partner with extensive experience successfully reaching young US Hispanics through engaging and relevant stories,” says Julia Estacolchic, Head of Marketing & Brand for Chispa. “From our first meeting, the Sensis team showed great passion for the dating business and our brand, and we are excited to work with them as we continue to help the Hispanic community make meaningful connections."

Sensis has nearly 25 years of experience serving the Latino community with offices in the United States, Mexico, and Colombia. Over the years, the agency has developed a deep level of expertise in helping brands tell their stories across cultures and industries. Chispa launched in 2017, and this partnership will help the app accelerate its growth among young Latinos with strong cultural identity while establishing it as the leading destination for Latinx singles to meet others who share their culture.

Chispa users are largely in the 18-34 age range and, according to a Chispa user survey, 80 percent of users in the 18-24 demographic think Chispa does more than other apps to help Latino singles find dates. A similar percentage of users agree that Chispa does more than other apps to serve the needs of Latino singles. Chispa meets the specific needs of Latino singles by connecting people based on their culture, values, background, and roots among other user qualities. The app also allows users to signify their heritage by displaying emoji flags of their native countries on their profile.
