Annex Films
directors Tundra* have created 'The Happy Factory', a fun, animated and very pink film
for Hill & Friends as part of London Fashion Week. The very talented
Tundra* directed, produced, illustrated, animated, and edited this eleven
minute film together with Spring69. It's the first time a collection has been
shown at LFW as a cinema film screening.
The film was screened at a Hill & Friends event during LFW AW16 at two private star-studded screenings at the Curzon Soho cinema in Central London. It also lit up the curve screen at Piccadilly Circus as part of a Happy Factory Fashion Week event featuring lots of celebrity faces, the opportunity to take a selfie with the Happy Factory bellboys and some rather pink limited edition Hill & Friends goodies.
When Tundra* were asked about the project, they stated: “We were invited by Emma Hill and Georgia Fendley to make a film that would replace their traditional catwalk show at London Fashion Week. They had their ideas for the story of The Happy Factory and we took it and made it all come to life for them. Two days' shoot in studio and a production time of 4 weeks in total made for a busy month here at Tundra*, but we are all very happy with the outcome!”
Inspired by Monty Python, Mr Men, The Pink Panther, Batman, Disney and The Italian Job, the film is a journey through live action, animation and CGI.
Full of
quirky signature wit, warmth and playful imagination, the movie takes viewers on a
journey into the world of Hill and Friends, complete with Bellboys, Snow White
inspired factory helpers, underground headquarters and a very special tea lady.
