Hello stranger. I'm May, senior copywriter at Media.Monks, and I've picked out some of the campaigns I've loved the most in recent times. It wasn't easy, Im a little indecisive and almost turned five into 50...

Gucci - 'Exquisite Gucci'

Gucci made a wonderful campaign honouring Kubrick and using super iconic scenes from movies like 'A Clockwork Orange', 'The Shining', 'A Space Odyssey' and 'Barry Lyndon' as reference. Seeing the photos and watching the film evokes an interesting strangeness and I couldn't avoid deep diving into it and discovering fun little bits like that the costume designer was the four times Oscar-winner Milena Cannero, responsible for Kubrick's 'Barry Lyndon'.

Burger King - 'Even More Confusing Times'

After the success with the 'Confusing Times' campaign, BK has now launched the also very good 'Even More Confusing Times', a film full of contradictions of our world - among them the Chicken Nuggets that are not chicken.

Havaianas - 'Pride Research'

Havaianas' Pride campaign totally escapes the usual formats. The Brazilian government prohibited the Brazilian 2022 Census from asking questions about the demographics of LGBT+ population in the region. So, Havaianas, the biggest Brazilian brand in the world and one of the biggest supporters of the LGBTQ+ community worldwide, decided to respond the homophobic government with the biggest demographic survey ever done in Brazil, proving that - between other data - the LGBT+ communities number goes up to more than 15.5 million of people in the country.

Globant - '1000 Slides'

Who has never come across one of those completely archaic processes at work that no longer make any sense? This film causes an instant enormous identification with almost everyone who sees it. A super well-thought-out and fun-to-watch piece.

Apple - 'Escape from the Office'

Director: Mark Molloy

Ok, ok...this is one that almost everyone must have seen, but it is without a doubt one of my favourites of the last few months. A nine-minute campaign so good it makes you want to watch it again and again and again. Excellent script, excellent acting and excellent direction.
