High Five: A Burst of Quality Music Videos

ADD TO COLLECTION

A team of creatives at Windmill Lane come together to share a light-hearted selection of music videos that have recently caught their attention

High Five: A Burst of Quality Music Videos

Aaron Carroll / head producer

Dean Lewis - 'Waves'
Production: Carbonated Comet Productions Ltd
Director: James Fitzgerald

I think with everything that has happened over the last two years, the subject of anxiety has become more pertinent, and this music video helps people who may feel alone or dealing with trauma in a beautiful way.

Lee Hickey / editor

Production: Motherland
Director: Tara O'Callaghan

I saw this video entered into ICAD's Emerging Director Awards and was blown away by how well it captured those youthful nights out (and in). The edit is top drawer and the mixed media doesn't feel too forced like it sometimes can. I don't know if this was a group of friends or casted but it feels so authentic either way. After seeing it, I had a fierce case of nostalgia for the days I'd be able to stay out all night!

Jason Gaffney / marketing manager

Dua Lipa - 'Physical'
Post: EIGHTY4
Animation: MATHEMATIC
Sound: Angel Sound Studio

I am cheating ever so slightly here as it was released last year, but this video has everything; the colour grading is stunning, arresting costume and set design, amazing choreography, inventive blend of animation and VFX, perfect lighting and a banging tune to boot.

Jelena Stancevic / producer

Dermot Kennedy - 'Something to Someone'
Production: ICONOCLAST
Director: Paul Gore

I am pretty sure Dermot wrote this song about me, which is why I love it. It’s a song about me and for me. Thank you, Dermot.

Emily Burke / producer

Wet Leg - 'Chaise Longue'

I just love the tongue in cheek element of it...
