Havas Media Group (HMG) has announced that The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (PMCF), Canada’s largest and leading cancer charity dedicated to raising funds for Princess Margaret Cancer foundation, has named HMG as its media agency partner following a competitive review. Through philanthropy, events, its world-leading home lottery programme, and multiple commercialisation initiatives, PMCF provides the critical funding required to accelerate cancer research, education, and care benefiting patients in Ontario, Canada and around the world.
“As a business that is operating in a category where purpose is paramount, it was crucial we find a partner that approached media through an experience lens across multiple revenue programs. Throughout the pitch process Havas Media demonstrated their commitment to building meaningful brands and the ability to be strategic while driving significant value for the Foundation – led by some of the best talent in the business.” said Melanie Johnston, CMO, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
As PMCF’S media buying agency of record (AOR), supporting brand and event fundraising, HMG Canada will partner with PMCF’s internal marketing team to drive innovation and deliver creative strategies and media solutions that unlock new partnerships, reach new audiences, and strengthen PMCF donor impact in new and existing mediums.
“The cancer research being done at The Princess Margaret is a tremendous asset to Ontarians, Canadians, and the world, making a critical contribution to Conquering Cancer In Our Lifetime. We are honoured to be chosen as a partner to support this vision. Melanie and her marketing team are trail blazers, along with their new creative agency of record, Broken Heart Love Affair, we know the sky's the limit for this partnership and our collective impact on transforming cancer outcomes and experiences.” said Noah Vardon, president, Havas Media Group Canada.
Havas Media Group’s capacity to provide innovation in both brand awareness, performance and driving added value were crucial factors determining PMCF’s final choice.
The first work from the partnership will debut this month in support of Journey to Conquer Cancer on June 18th, 2023.
