John Cena has embodied Hefty’s strength for many years, and now he’s at it again in a meaningful way

At a time when we need strength more than ever, Havas Chicago conceptualised, sold, produced, shot, edited, composed music and sound design, audio mixed, coloured and trafficked three spots in just two and a half weeks. John Norman, chief creative officer at Havas Chicago is energised and encouraged after helping cultivate big, creative ideas from home, finding solutions to pandemic production, and delivering meaningful, socially responsible messages out into the world.

'Start Again' is a heartfelt thank you to the sanitation workers that are continuing to support us all. Havas utilised local talent that could operate drones from their home cities in all seven cities across the country from Anchorage to Austin, while John Cena also recorded the voice over from his home, maintaining social distancing. Produced in three days, it truly was a herculean effort. The 15 second version can be found here.


'Stronger Than You Think' is a personal message from Hefty’s strongman himself, Mr. John Cena. His self-recorded video - which started as a social post - along with curated UGC clips sends a message to the country that we are all 'stronger than you think'.

The teams abided by all stay at home orders by utilising local talent that could operate drones from their home cities in all seven cities. “Finding new ways to make things in this environment has been invigorating" says John Norman, chief creative officer of Havas Chicago. "I’m energised by the team’s ability to shoot and edit content quickly, direct shoots remotely, and execute the work flawlessly. This campaign is a great example of what Havas Chicago does best – nimble storytelling that’s based in culture and human truths, and brought to life through clever production.”
