Nylon Studios announces their support of composer's upcoming tour

Nylon Studios is excited to announce composer Guy Brown’s solo project Mammals will support Of Monsters and Men’s upcoming tour on all its Australian dates, including the Enmore Theatre and Sydney’s Metro Theatre.

Mammals' first single Move Slower brought Brown to the attention of triple j, which awarded him Unearthed “Spotlight Artist Of The Week”. The win saw the lead singer-songwriter perform at the 2013 Laneway Festival. Since then, the single has built up more traction online and on stage with over 70,000 plays on SoundCloud.

“We are really excited to have the opportunity to open for such an amazing band and to play at some of Australia’s most iconic venues,” said Brown. “We will be debuting a few new songs during our set and adding some fresh vibes to others,” he added.

Mammals (Guy Brown, Henry Wells, Nathaniel Joyce and Jake Bennett) is currently in the studio working on a debut release and is set to hit the road again soon. The band has just come back from touring with Owl Eyes and Collarbones; where they performed at all major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Tasmania.

Whilst Brown is enjoying opening for some of the country’s finest acts, he says Mammals is keen to get started on its own headline tour. “We hope to have an album out by early next year,” he explains, adding, “We have some cool new collaborations coming up that lean towards a more beatsy electronica sound.”

Hailing from Sydney's sunny Northern beaches, Brown began writing and recording as Mammals in 2011, producing music that shifts effortlessly through the territories of folk, electronica and indie rock. With his recognisably soft vocals combined with an art for subtle instrumentation, Mammals creates a distinct sound.

Chugg Entertainment can now confirm that both Sydney shows at the Enmore Theatre have sold out, and a third and final show has been confirmed for Wednesday 31 July at Sydney’s Metro Theatre, following an appearance at the sold-out Splendour In The Grass. http://mammalsmusic.bandcamp.com/
