Grant Thornton Welcomes Us to ‘Status Go’

Created by gyro Chicago, leading independent tax, audit and advisory firm launches its first national campaign in eight years

Grant Thornton Welcomes Us to ‘Status Go’

When it comes to business, there is far too much that holds us back—especially when we settle for the status quo. Leading independent tax, audit and advisory firm Grant Thornton has the tools, the talent and the expertise to drive business further, faster…and with a different category experience.
This is the main message behind Grant Thornton’s first new ad campaign in eight years. Created by gyro Chicago, the campaign proclaims: “Status quo limits you. Status Go lifts You. Welcome to Status Go.”

Elegant imagery plays up the “Status Go” theme by combining an element surging forward only to be held back. In one execution, a fighter jet is combined with an anchor. In another, a rope pulls back a runner in a race. Each ad powerfully illustrates what Grant Thornton is fighting for so its customers can break free from the status quo and move forward with confidence.
This integrated effort will include print, digital, and content marketing.
John Harmeling, chief marketing officer of Grant Thornton, said: “‘Status Go’ gives us a chance to tell our story in a bold, distinctive way. If you listen to our clients, they tell us we’re agile, inspired, curious, principled, innovative, and focused on quality. We’ve tried to capture that meaningfully different category experience with ‘Status Go’.”
“Grant Thornton has insight, bravery and human relevance at its core,” said Mike Hensley, president of gyro Chicago. “As a challenger brand, it has a tremendous opportunity to reinvent itself and reignite awareness and consideration among its customers.”
