B-Reel helps launch a new addition to Google Calendar with fun new spot

Google Calendar’s app launched a year and a half ago with the promise of helping you to make the most of every day. With a more human interface, to learning users’ routines, Google Calendar has become a beloved app.


Last week, Google Calendar made its first big move into a more helpful, personal assistive-like calendar with the introduction of Goals. With this newest addition, Google Calendar is evolving from keeping track of your day's needs, to keeping you on track for your life's goals.


B-Reel is the agency who helped to identify the key insight about our faithful Calendar users: we all have goals - exercising, calling home, even meditating. But it can be hard to find the time to stick with them. The easier it is to find time for our goals, the more likely we are to keep with them.


B-Reel created a short film, directed by B-Reel Films' Simon Cole, to show how Goals in Google Calendar can help you do this. The film tells a relatable, human story about Brad -- a busy, working guy who gets dumped. In a post-breakup moment of epiphany, Brad decides to set some goals for self-improvement and Goals in Google Calendar helps him get there, even when life gets in the way.
