India’s football fans might find themselves a little hoarse during the World Cup, if this colourful and over-the-top spot from the lens of director Manoj Tapadia is anything to go by.
The campaign is for Sony Liv, a streaming service that will allow fans to watch all of the World Cup matches on the go. In it a young man heads to the doctor with a sore throat, only to find his GP and nurse similarly afflicted – it turns out they’ve all been cheering too loudly for their adopted teams.
As India hasn’t qualified for this year’s World Cup tournament in Russia, Sony TV is encouraging fans to adopt a second team, under the hashtag #MeriDoosriCountry (read more about that here).
The spot was devised by creative agency Publicis Ambience and was produced by Offroad Films.
