Bi-coastal production company Honor Society unveils its latest campaign, a bold and energetic spot directed by Melissa Bolton-Klinger, featuring pop icon Katy Perry. The campaign highlights Milka Mmmax's exclusive promotion, offering fans who purchase the candy bar a chance to win a behind-the-scenes experience with Katy Perry during her The Lifetimes Tour.
Designed with the European market in mind and shot on a stage in Los Angeles, the spot brings fans closer to Katy Perry through comedic backstage vignettes. The narrative follows a superfan who gets the rare chance to meet Katy Perry in her green room, where she enjoys a Milka Mmmax bar while the team prepares for the concert.
Director Melissa Bolton-Klinger collaborated closely with the agency and Katy Perry to bring the concept to life, capturing the excitement of spending time with the star, and how it was filled with unexpected and humorous moments. Reflecting on shoot, she shares:
“Directing Katy Perry for Milka Mmmax with David/Hogarth was one of those rare shoots where everything just clicks. The agency and client were hilarious, collaborative, and totally game - my kind of people. Katy crushed it, the chocolate was flowing, and honestly, still not sure if I was directing a commercial or just living inside a chocolate dream. She’s the global pop star, I’m just a director - but for a minute there, we made a pretty great team.”
The campaign will run across multiple platforms, with various lengths offering different, intriguing moments. From glitter cannons to floral head busts, this spot provides a fun peek into Katy Perry’s world - possibly even hinting at surprises in the upcoming tour.
