GLOW Named Content Marketing Agency of the Year by Digiday

Agency continues to be the go-to shop for high-performing social and digital content by brands

GLOW, the social and digital agency known for its work with top entertainment brands, was named by Digiday as Content Marketing Agency of the Year. The win marks the second time GLOW has been named the show’s overall winner. 

Digiday’s annual show, which began in 2013, recognises “the companies and campaigns using content to modernize media and marketing.” GLOW was awarded the title for its work on a number of creative campaigns.

To start off the year, GLOW partnered with Spotify last year to create artist new release content on social that ultimately led to the streaming service’s best performing content to date. Next, and to address the complexities of the pandemic for young audiences, the agency created a campaign called “Be Like Blippi” which leveraged YouTube personality Blippi and his massive following. The effort created a custom partnership with toy brand, Jazwares, and encouraged children to stay home and remain safe. GLOW also put forward creative content on the mobile gaming front, helping OnePlus stand out as a top mobile-gaming device with gamer-centric content and the first ever Fortnite co-branded video captured on mobile by an outside agency.

“For many in the marketing world, last year was a headscracter,” said Howie Kleinberg, president, GLOW. “But for brands in the entertainment sector, the heat was on and content needed to perform harder and give American audiences, stuck inside their homes, some much needed relief.”

The win follows a banner year for the agency including a full 10% increase in client portfolio and diversifying disciplines by adding sports (NBA), consumer toys (Jazwares), electronic consumer product (OnePlus), and CPG (I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!). GLOW also has been named a preferred partner by Warner Media and has expanded its relationship with Showtime, newly handling the Showtime brand work in addition to its hottest programs. The agency forecast is healthier than ever with revenue projected to grow 65 percent over the next two-year period.
