GCRS Scores Gold and Silver for Sound at Kinsale Sharks

At last week's Kinsale Shark Awards, Grand Central (GC) sound designer Munzie Thind was awarded a gold in the Best Use of Sound (Promo) category for BBC Music: The Impossible Orchestra: God Only Knows. Munzie Thind created the sound design for the spot, an extraordinary reworking of The Beach Boys’ classic song God Only Knows, uniting 27 internationally acclaimed artists from diverse musical genres. 

In addition, Pampers: Poo Face picked up a silver Film award in the Best Use of Music / Sound Design category, the sound design and mix for which was created by Munzie Thind and Gary Turnbull.

Gary Turnbull comments: "There is a simple and clever idea behind Pampers: Poo Face, and it was quite different from what the brand usually does. The humour of the visuals works beautifully with the dramatic soundtrack of Richard Strauss' 'Also Sprach Zarathustra'.
