AWARD-WINNING EDITOR GARY KNIGHT COMES TO CUT + RUN.
“Gary is one of the world’s best editors,” says Cut + Run Founding Partner/Editor Steve Gandolfi. “The diversity of his work is amazing and he is admired by everyone at Cut + Run.”
Always looking to “take projects higher” has earned Knight numerous accolades including the 2009 AICE award for his contribution to Adidas “House Party.” Other high-profile projects include HP-iPod “Mash Up,” ‘Bedroom Kidney” for G4 TV, and “Femme Fatale” for Kronenburg Beer. Knight’s collaborations with Director Chris Cunningham on Aphex Twins “Come To Daddy,” Bjork’s “All is Full of Love” and Madonna’s “Frozen” thrust him into the pop culture spotlight. He also edited the controversial Robbie Williams “Rock DJ” video which was voted the seventh Most Groundbreaking Video Ever on MTV as well as Feist’s “Mushaboom” and Kings of Leon’s “Four Kicks,” both directed by Patrick Daughters. Prior to joining Cut + Run, Knight was at Peepshow and Final Cut. It was at the latter that he first met Ranå Martin, Cut + Run’s NY Executive Producer.
“I am truly excited to be reuniting with Gary,” says Martin. “He has passion and an open heart. This shines through in every aspect of his work, as well as in his ability to unite people. He inspires.”
Michelle Burke, Cut + Run Managing Director, adds: “We are excited about the new developments happening at Cut+Run in 2011. The addition of Gary’s talent helps push those goals further.”
“I have many friends at Cut + Run and know it to be a place where people can share ideas,” comments Knight. “The combination of the right people and a truly creative environment is unbeatable, really, and I am very excited to be here.”
