The Drum Awards for Content recognises creative and innovative companies and campaigns that cut through in the branded content space. It is a global awards programme that acknowledges the best work from across the marketing and communications industry.
During the Live ceremony held on November 4th, The Drum announced the nominees and winners for 22 categories. Among the entries this year, Gameloft for Brands won The Best Use of Mobile Content award with Applaydu.
Applaydu is an edutainment mobile app developed for Kinder Surprise & Kinder Joy in partnership with The University of Oxford’s Department of Education. Already downloaded by more than 20 million families, Applaydu offers an immersive, new experience dedicated to children that encourages math skills, communication, focus, and memory retention in a 100% kid-safe certified environment.
"Not only are we genuinely proud and honored, we also think this award means a lot for the gaming industry. It's a major recognition that gaming offers not just massive audiences, but also innovative ways to engage with consumers by combining creativity, story-telling and technology," said Alexandre Tan, senior vice president of brand partnerships and advertising at Gameloft.
Applaydu can be downloaded for free from the App Store or from Google Play.
