Black Dog Films has welcomed the newest addition to its UK roster, director Tom Dream. Tom, whose most recent music video for UK indie trio Friendly Fires dropped yesterday, collaborates closely with artists to create truly original music videos, live music, and documentary content.
Inspired by the Italian interval Eurovision performance in 1978, the video for Friendly Fires’ ‘Silhouettes’ sees Tom take the band back to a time of disco choreography, silk shirts, and well-heeled boots, and arrives ahead of the group’s third LP, Inflorescent.
Style-nostalgia, nature and psychology are recurring themes that feature strongly in Tom’s work, alongside his passion for capturing ongoing stories as they unfold, illuminating the people behind the music, and unpicking human dynamics.
Other recent projects include working as a documentary DOP for Julien Temple, and shooting Black Sabbath’s final tour ‘The End of The End.’
