Friday Playlist: January Radioheads Rock

Clare Bowen is head of creative development at The Radio Advertising Bureau and likes a song or two. It’s her job to encourage a more ambitious approach to creativity in radio advertising.

“If the year is a twelve song album, then January is the opening track. January is a new a start.  A chance to change the metaphorical record.  With this compilation, I have changed the actual record by collecting together some cracking album-opening tracks I’ve heard on commercial radio over the past few weeks. (I listen to a lot of Absolute 90s and XFM, as you can probably tell).  In the days when I still regularly bought actual albums, there was something indescribably exciting about The First Listening and wondering how the songs would unfold. To me, the start of every New Year feels a bit like that. January is full of the potential and the possibilities of the year ahead. I’m excited to find out how 2015 will sound.
