Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distributor for Entertainment Studios, has acquired the U.S. distribution rights to Traveling Picture Show Company’s (TPSC) Divine Access.  Directed by Steven Chester Prince, the comedy stars Billy Burke ('Revolution,' the Twilight series) and an all-star ensemble including Gary Cole ('Veep,' Pineapple Express, Talladega Nights), Patrick Warburton (Ted, 'Family Guy,' 'Rules of Engagement'), Joel David Moore (Avatar, Savages), Sarah Shahi (Bullet to the Head, 'Person of Interest'), Dora Madison (Dark Places, 'Friday Night Lights'), Barak Hardley ('Raising Hope,'  'Community') and Adrienne Barbeau (Argo).

Written by Prince, John A. O'Connell and Michael Zagst, Divine Access follows Jack Harriman (Burke) who becomes an instant spiritual celebrity after humiliating Reverend Guy Roy Davis (Cole) on a public-access TV show.  While on the road speaking his brand of truth, forces both natural and supernatural lead him to question whether he has a deeper calling.

“Freestyle Digital Media has a distinctly dynamic and smart team with the unique audience reach that we have been looking for,” said TPSC Films President and Divine Access writer and director Steven Chester Prince. “Divine Access has had a successful run on the festival circuit this past year and we are thrilled to have found such a fitting distribution home.”

Mark Borde, Co-President of Freestyle Digital Media said, “Steven’s directorial debut truly showcases his sharp sense of humor and unrivaled craft, combining his wit with such an energetic ensemble cast, led by the multi-talented Billy Burke. We are very much looking forward to bringing this comedic triumph to our audiences.”

Divine Access was produced by TPSC Films’ Kevin Matusow, Carissa Buffel and Steven Chester Prince, Blackball Entertainment’s Billy Burke, and Terry G. Jones. G-Men Media’s Clay Glendenning and Jeff Way executive produced.

The comedy made its World Premiere at the prestigious 2015 Sarasota Film Festival and continued on a successful festival circuit which included the Dallas International Film Festival, the WorldFest-Houston and a West Coast Spotlight premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival and The Portland International Film Festival, where it received rave reviews.

The deal was negotiated by Jay Cohen at Gersh and Chris Charalambous, Head of Acquisition for Freestyle.

TPSC Films’ is bringing a slate of innovative and lucrative projects to the market, including: Osgood Perkins’ February starring Emma Roberts, Kiernan Shipka and Lucy Boyton, which was acquired by A24 after premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival; and J.T.
