Fred De Loof Signs to Hobby Film

Having began his career as an award winning creative in Belgium, Fred De Loof, the multi-talented director, creative & actor has since moved on to directing award winning commercials, shorts, features and most recently a TV-series.

He now joins forces with the Swedes for representation across the Nordics and from Hobby Film’s offices in Amsterdam.

‘I’ve been a big fan of Hobby for years so it’s great to be able to work with them. We’re a great match for each other and I have the feeling this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.’ says Fred De Loof. 

Oskar Bård, founder and director of Hobby Film, echo’s Fred’s sentiments, ‘It was a no-brainer. Not only is his reel amazing, but he also has one of these gloriously creative brains. His ideas are genius! Whether it’s a commercial, a short, a feature or a TV-series, he knows how to deliver.

The signing also highlights Hobby’s expansion beyond a Scandinavian roster.

‘As a Swedish company we’ve had a Scandinavian focus but as our business is building outside of the cold North we’re excited to expand our roster with other brilliant talent.’ says Oskar. ‘We’ve also given Fred honorary Swedish citizenship so he’s basically one of us now.’
