Imagine walking past the huge ad boards in Times Square, New York, one day and seeing an ad directed at you personally?
That's what happened to the CMO's of global brands Heineken, Diesel, Volvo & Forbes in the US. Independent creative agency Founders, a by The Network agency, had CMOs waking up to seeing their names literally in lights in the middle of Times Square last week.
As the agency started to look at fresh new ways to speak to brand CMOs they had identified as wanting to work with, they decided that going through the traditional channels to engage with brand CMOs needed a bigger idea. So they decided to take action and booked up screens across Times Square to address the CMOs personally, and directly!
“We had some really big ideas for some big names, so naturally we felt we needed some big screens. Never in a million years did we think our brand would be on the screens in Times Square alongside those of other clients we have been working with like Netflix, Paramount, and Snapchat,” shares Checha Agost Carreño founder and chief creative officer at Founders.
“We think that big ideas should be seen and more importantly we believe in our creatives and their ideas and will do anything to get an idea made. Even if it means booking ad space all around Times Square. I don’t think many agencies have managed to get their ideas or brands on those iconic screens,” states Tanya De Poli founder and chief operating officer at Founders.
