The trio of projects now qualify for the regional European round of judging on Friday 20th October

This Monday saw a Nordics jury sit for the first time ever at The Immortal Awards, with jurors from across the region searching for the inaugural Nordics Finalists.

The 15 highest-scoring projects from the first round of online judging made the shortlist, with projects representing Denmark, Finland and Sweden.

An afternoon of considered and thoughtful discussions led the jury to decide upon three projects which were deemed worthy enough to be Nordic Finalists.

The trio of Finalists will now represent the region at the European round of judging on Friday October 20th.

The Immortal Awards 2023 Nordics Finalists are:

McDonald's Finland - McDrip (submitted by NORD DDB)

Region Gotland - Gotland's Ugliest Lawn (submitted by Differ Agency)

Reporters Without Borders Sweden - Death Sentence (submitted by Åkestam Holst)

The three projects will go up against the Finalists from the other European jury days - including the UK, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Spain and Germany - as well as the best work from around the region at the European round of judging on Friday 20th October. They’ll be competing for a place in the final, global round of judging and ultimately a chance at winning an Immortal Award.

Those on the first ever Nordics jury were: Jonas Drehn, co-founder of BaconX; Linda Elers, creative director, co-lead and partner at M&C Saatchi Stockholm; Lia Eliasson, partner and executive producer at B-Reel Films and KINxyz.co; Adam Kerj, chief creative officer Europe at Accenture Song; Jyrki Poutanen, chief creative officer and founder of United Imaginations; Josefin Roxenheim, creative at Forsman & Bodenfors; Nic Taylor, SVP and head of agency at LEGO Group; and Tobias Wacker, executive creative director at hasan & partners.
