Follow the events and culmination of Day One with the FireFlies Tour

Day one was simply WET WET WET from start to finish and the riders were completely drenched as the veteran jockeys helped ease the virgins into the Tour.

The Sweet 16th Tour made its way through the alpine towns of Vinzier, Morzine, Cluses and La Grand Bornand, with the jockeys covering a staggering 130km and tackling the peaks of Col du Corbier, Col de Joux Plane (with an added detour due to a major landslide closure) and the Col de la Colombiere along the way.

FireFlyettes Ches Lopez and Kat Spencer won praise from the Tour for showing particular courage and application when tackling Stage One.

As we welcome ICONOCLAST PARIS as a new sponsor to the FireFlies Tour, their young Director Clément Gallet (Iconoclast / Riff Raff Films London), riding for a second year, rocketed to the top of Col de la Colombiere (1,613m), the last peak of the day, in what could be a record time.
