Feather has announced the signing of Ana Escorse, who will join the team as lead colourist in Toronto this September.
Born and raised in Brazil, Ana’s sense of colour can be traced back to her early exposure and draw to Brazilian Baroque art. After moving to Canada in 2012, Ana plunged into the production scene and not long after found the world of colour. In the span of just a few years, Ana earned the trust of filmmakers and creatives in the industry — as well as a reputation for her thoughtful and progressively creative approach. She has since worked for creative studio Nice Shoes and brands like General Motors, Capital One, Marriott, Arm & Hammer, Tory Burch, and Glamour Magazine.
In the music video and narrative space, Ana has collaborated on projects that have been celebrated by the Young Directors Awards, the Tribeca Film Festival, NOWNESS and, most recently, the Berlin Commercial Awards.
Ana brings a diverse, fresh outlook to the company and the work she does. She will continue to work on both commercial projects and music videos in Canada and the US.
“These are interesting and exciting times to be starting something new. In many ways it feels like we are on the cusp of a new era. We’re treading boldly into new workflows and strategies when it comes to a remote world. But most importantly, we’re finally seeing the need for change when it comes to inclusion and representation of diverse voices. There’s no other team I’d rather be stepping into this new chapter with. I’m excited to be joining Studio Feather”.
“Ana is leading the charge of a new generation of ultra-creative colourists with something to say. She has a boldness and sense of style that won’t allow you to look away. We’re thrilled to have her be our voice of colour”
