FCB Mexico today announced that Ana Noriega has been promoted to chief creative officer. Noriega joins president Eric Descombes to lead the creative direction of FCB Mexico in Latin America across the agency’s full roster of important global, regional and local clients.
With 15 years of industry experience, Noriega has developed big ideas for iconic brands including Mattel, Kellogg’s, Mars, Johnnie Walker, Coca-Cola, KFC, SC Johnson, Bud Light, Bissú and Clorox, among others. She joined FCB in early 2016 after serving in high-level creative roles at Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett and BBDO. Noriega’s work has been awarded at festivals such as Cannes Lions, The One Show, Effies, FIAP, Sol de Bilbao, Yahoo Big Idea Chair and Círculo Creativo.
“For the last three years, our creative team has been working to position our agency as one of the top creative players in Mexico,” said Descombes. “Ana is the perfect choice for the next era of FCB, in which innovation, talent and purpose will come together.”
“Ana has demonstrated strategic thinking, an insatiable hunger for creative ideas that build a client’s brand and a clear understanding of Mexico’s business environment.
Noriega added: “I am excited about my new responsibilities, and am focused on the future. FCB Mexico is continually adopting innovative tools and platforms that will help us address the needs of our brands in a unique way. I look forward to being at the forefront of this period of transformation for our agency, and will work alongside our creative teams to raise the bar at FCB Mexico.”
In addition to leading creative, Noriega says she will specifically commit herself to promoting talent at FCB Mexico.
“FCB is already a strong promoter of talent – regardless of gender – and I feel incredibly proud to be a part of a company that has been a true pioneer in this regard. I will definitely carry on this objective in my new role,” she said.
