FCB Brasil is announcing the launch of its diversity internship programme for 2013, FCB/Brain. With the goal of attracting students who are starting their careers, as well as creating more diverse growth opportunities within the agency and across the advertising industry, new internship openings are available in Brands & Businesses (Account Services), Creative, Content, Data Intelligence, Media, Planning, HR, Finance, RTVC, Production and Creative Technology. Since the first edition of the programme, about 30 interns have been hired as full-time employees in various departments.
With the concept 'Come with what you have', this year’s campaign values the candidates’ life experiences and drive to learn, and pokes fun at internship openings with requirements that anyone who’s starting out would find impossible to meet. The purpose of FCB/Brains in its fourth year is to develop and prepare young professionals for the creative industry. Aimed at students who are in their 4th or 5th semester in college, the recruiting process will be hosted on Gupy, an agile and innovative platform that connects candidates and recruiters, on what will be the new official careers website for FCB Brasil.
The more than 20 openings are looking to hire professionals who will help us be an agency with broader plurality of gender and sexual orientation, among other traits. VP of human resources Sandra Denes says: “We are all committed to discussing, debating, learning, and multiplying knowledge. That is essential for us to become an agency ever more diverse and open to dialog. This makes us feel confident that we’re in the right track.”
Another goal is to focus on the interns’ professional development. The main pillar for this is FuturoLab, a mentorship plan that pairs interns with mentors who are leaders in the agency, in order to accelerate their career development. The programme has a broad format that includes checking up on the interns on a monthly basis and providing psychological support and behavioral training on topics such as diversity and inclusion, emotional intelligence, creativity and innovation, and career development. Throughout 2022, one-off selections were done for specific openings, following the same criterion.
In this edition, FCB/Brains will have four stages – the first is in March and April – the registration process; then tests, interviews, and group dynamics will take place in April and May; the final interviews will be held in the first week of May; finally, the results will be announced soon after, on the programme’s website.
The programme welcomes applications from students in the following courses: business, audiovisual arts, databases, big data and analytics intelligence, communications and marketing, computer sciences, social sciences, systems development, design, computer engineering, statistics, physics, human resources management, mathematics, social and digital media, psychology, publicity and advertising, public relations, radio and TV, and information technology.
