MEC Access, the leading partnerships and content agency, has launched a new film to support activity for the Marriott Hotels #ReuniteMeWith campaign as part of its partnership with England Rugby. The film follows England rugby player, Brad Barritt, as he is reunited with his mother and sister at the final game of the RBS 6 Nations having left his hometown of Durban, South Africa when he was 18.
The #ReuniteMeWith campaign launched in February, encouraging user generated content contributions from rugby-loving consumers with family or friends living abroad in the form of a video clip submission via http://reunitemewith-marriott.co.uk/. These personal nominations will seek to show why their fellow rugby enthusiast from abroad should be chosen to attend one of four top matches at Twickenham. Four winners will be chosen by Marriott and flown home for a reunion at an England game in 2015.
Ben Bradley, Business Director, MEC Access, said: “It was amazing to bring Brad Barritt’s family over to London and surprise him at Twickenham. Travel has the power to bring the world together and through #ReuniteMeWith we’re doing the same for rugby fans all round the world.”
Chi Nguyen, Director of Field Marketing Europe, Marriott Hotels International, said: ”As part of our partnership we wanted to do something special for fans living abroad through the #ReuniteMeWith campaign. This beautiful film, created by MEC Access, extends our core message of reuniting with friends and family over rugby in 2015.”
Brad Barritt, England Rugby player, said: “Thank you to Marriott Hotels and the #ReuniteMeWith campaign for not only bringing my mum and sister over from South Africa, but also enabling them to come and watch the final game of the RBS Six Nations with me! Playing rugby for England is such a large part of my life and it was so precious for us to be reunited for such a special moment.”
