Livingroom launches music video set on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah with Emirati director Fayssal Bensahil

The Pointe and Nakheel have launched RELM - a new platform recognising emerging local artists - with partners TikTok and Anghami.

The five featured artists are Noel Kharman, Lea Makhoul, Abri, Sandra Sahi and Nagham Debal and they will be performing their new songs live for the first time at RELM FEST at the Palm Fountain between the 21st and 23rd October. The headline act will be the Mayyas – the Lebanese dance troupe that were this year’s winners of America’s Got Talent.

Livingroom has carried out the communication duties working with locally based Slovenian artist Marta Lamovsek on stunning visual photography and the making of a music video set on the Palm with Emirati director Fayssal Bensahil. PR has been through Havas Red.

Nakheel are the company behind the Palm - a modern wonder of the world. The Pointe is a relatively recent destination on the Palm which has the world’s largest fountain show.

The project is destination marketing done in a bold and fresh way. Music as the primary communication form to sell as a destination. It was fantastic working with locally based musicians and a brilliant Emirati Director and one of the top DOP’s in the region Soufiane Aboulhassane. All artists in their own right as well.

Lara Bizri, head of creative at Livingroom, says: “It was wonderful to work in such a collaborative way with so many people at the top of their game- from the music producer who re-mixed the tracks, to the choreographer, the cinematographer to a client open to embrace creativity and take risks.

Creatively we had been inspired by the way Despacito sold Puerto Rico better than any ad. We’ve been inspired by the way Marta made people heroic and glamorous. And we’ve been reminded that more than anything else, music is content that people want to to consume on their social channels.
