ELMNTL has announced the promotion of Alasdair Patrick to executive producer, recognising his leadership, experience and dedication to the team and its work. Alongside this, the studio is excited to welcome Mary Fitzgerald as operations manager, further strengthening its leadership team as it continues to grow.
Since joining ELMNTL as senior VFX producer, Alasdair has been a key part of the studio’s growth, helping to deliver high-quality projects and build strong relationships with clients. His experience and ability to balance creativity with production expertise have made a real difference to the team.
“Ali has been a huge part of what we’ve been building here. He’s got a great eye for detail, keeps a level head under pressure and knows how to bring out the best in everyone around him,” said Danny Whybrow, ELMNTL’s co-founder. “This is a natural next step for him and one we’re all excited about.”
Greg White, co-founder, added, “Ali’s got that rare ability to make complex projects feel effortless. He keeps things running smoothly, makes the process enjoyable and ensures we’re delivering great work. This promotion is well deserved and we’re lucky to have him on board!”
As executive producer, Alasdair will continue to oversee the studio’s growing slate of work, maintaining high creative and technical standards while fostering strong collaborations with clients and the team.
“I’ve really enjoyed being part of ELMNTL and stepping into this role feels like a great next step,” said Alasdair. “We’ve got a brilliant team here and I’m looking forward to working together to keep delivering work we’re all proud of.”
In addition to Alasdair’s promotion, ELMNTL is delighted to welcome Mary Fitzgerald as Operations Manager. Having previously worked with the studio in a freelance capacity, Mary is now a permanent member of the team. With a strong background in production operations and studio management, she brings a wealth of experience in streamlining workflows, supporting teams and ensuring the studio runs efficiently as it continues to expand.
Danny and Mary have a long-standing working relationship, having successfully built and managed teams together in the past. Their shared approach to fostering a supportive and efficient work environment makes this appointment a natural fit.
“Mary’s expertise and approach make her a fantastic addition to ELMNTL,” said Danny. “She has a deep understanding of what it takes to keep a creative studio running smoothly, and I know from experience how good she is at building strong, effective teams. She’ll play a key role in supporting the studio as we continue to evolve.”
Greg White added, “Mary’s brilliant at keeping everything and everyone on track. She’s already making an impact, and we’re excited to have her on board.”
As a working mum, Mary’s role at ELMNTL has been designed to be fully flexible, allowing her to balance her career with parenting responsibilities. The studio is committed to creating an inclusive and adaptable workplace that supports its team members in achieving both their professional and personal goals.
“I’m thrilled to be joining ELMNTL at such an exciting time,” said Mary. “The team here is incredibly talented, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into a role that allows me to continue doing what I love while also being there for my family. Having worked with Danny before, I know how much care and thought goes into things and I’m looking forward to helping make ELMNTL an even better place to work.”
Alasdair’s promotion and Mary’s appointment reflect ELMNTL’s ongoing commitment to producing high-quality work in a positive and collaborative working environment. With their leadership, the team is set to continue building on what they’ve achieved so far.
