Electric Theatre Collective announces the long awaited arrival of Saskia Delius to their production team as senior producer.
Saskia was welcomed to Electric by an excited committee of friends from the various studios that Saskia has worked at in the past. Saskia started her career working at Channel 4 as a production assistant before moving across to the world of Post Production in 2014, landing at Lucky Cat Post. In 2016, Saskia started at Envy Post Production, beginning her career as a producer. Saskia then moved to MPC commercials, and finally the Mill, where she became senior producer and EP. When it comes to Production, she’s completed it.
Jon Purton, CEO, said of Saskia’s arrival “We've known Saskia for a little while and many of the team have worked with her at her previous studios, so this feels a little like a homecoming. She's an amazing producer and someone you want to sit in a room with. We are very happy.’’
Electric Theatre Collective caught up with Saskia to talk music, summer highlights and all things production.
Saskia> I worked on the most fantastic campaign for Topgolf with Anomaly NY and The Sacred Egg last year, where we replaced every character’s head with golf gloves of so many varying designs, butt I also simultaneously worked on a CG OOH House of The Dragons billboard for digital billboards all around the world which (thanks to many super talented people) looked incredible!
Saskia> ETC has always been a place where I’d love to work, it’s a bit of a pinch me moment. I’m so excited to be here. I love how all departments work so well together from FOH, hospitality, engineering, production, artists, creatives, and senior management. Everyone just thrives for the best - it’s such a pleasure to be a part of it all. It just works!
Saskia> Oh this one is easy. I am in that point in my life where marriages and babies are happening constantly. This Summer I have watched some of my best friends get married, but I’ve also watched some of my best friends become parents. It’s actually been such a special summer this year!
Saskia> I’ve done quite a lot of luxury brand work which I’ve always found incredibly exciting, but I have to admit that I’m easily pleased at heart.. with chicken! Nando’s might be my favourite place to eat, and I think if you ask anyone who has worked with me/knows me at all, they’d agree that a Nandos project would be pretty perfect for me. I’d know the branding, font, and the menu off by heart, I reckon.. hah!
Saskia> Honestly, I think I would assure myself that it was ok to have dropped out of university. I had so many doubts that I’d be unsuccessful without a degree, but starting my career and learning so much about the industry in my first job at Channel 4 was invaluable experience in my opinion. Having a degree is so fantastic for some people, but I do believe in trusting your gut and doing what is best for you.
Saskia> So, I am a total lover of all music. But I feel as I get older that I just have the same ‘90s and ‘00s tunes on repeat. I will absolutely be throwing my hat into the ring for Oasis tickets!
