Talon partners with Buymedia and eir to launch the campaign highlighting the reach and power of eir’s new Wide-Fi powered by WiFi 7

With seamless connectivity top of mind, eir, Ireland’s leading telecommunications provider, has launched the country’s first WiFi 7 system, setting a new benchmark for broadband speed, coverage, and reliability. With eir’s Wide-Fi powered by WiFi 7, weak spots and dead zones are a thing of the past, providing ultra-fast, reliable connectivity throughout the home.

The latest campaign took a creative approach – extending beyond traditional billboard boundaries to mirror the extended range of eir Wide-Fi. The campaign is running across key locations in Main Cities, strategically placed to drive awareness and engagement.

Bringing the concept to life, bespoke billboard extensions pushed beyond conventional frames to show that eir’s new WiFi 7 is widening your WiFi and delivering seamless device performance with whole-home coverage. The 48-sheet on South Richmond Street featuresWiFi pulses lighting up as if searching for connectivity, before fully illuminating and extending beyond the billboard. Meanwhile, the 240-sheet in Ranelagh broke traditional boundaries with text extending beyond the frame. The creative executions ensured high-impact visibility, reinforcing eir’s commitment to widening your WiFi.

This campaign is further supported through multiple OOH bursts running from March 10th to 20th April, targeting key commuter and urban environments to maximise reach and frequency.

Eclipse Media and XL Media Ltd were the production specialists, in collaboration with media owners JCDecaux and Pzazz Media.

JoJo Cox, group business director at Talon, said, “eir’s new Wide-Fi powered by WiFi 7is all about pushing boundaries in connectivity, so it made perfect sense for us to reflect that in our OOH placements. By quite literally breaking the frame, we showcased just how far eir’s new broadband offering can go”.

Fergal O’Connor, CEO at Buymedia, said, “eir’s WiFi 7 is redefining connectivity, and this campaign brings that innovation to life. Using data-driven insights powered by AI, our platform strategically placed each OOH execution to maximise visibility and engagement. Just as WiFi 7 extends seamless coverage, this campaign extends beyond traditional boundaries – turning eir’s message into an unmissable, high-impact experience. We’re proud to partner with eir and Talon in showcasing the future of connectivity”.
