New York-based creative editorial shop BlueRock is pleased to announce that editor Shira Ankori has joined the team. Click here to view her reel.
Ankori is a versatile, award-winning editor, with experience working in long form, short form and everything in between. She’s used her talents to help weave together commercial narratives for some of the biggest brands out there, including Sony, Walmart, Toyota and Taco Bell.
Ankori is an adept storyteller with a keen eye for comedy, and she’s worked with some of the best directors in the genre, including Ted Melfi (St. Vincent) and the Russo Brothers (Arrested Development, Community).
"Shira and I worked together years ago, and I have watched her grow from the driven assistant editor with an inextinguishable spark at the start of her career into the smart, dedicated, and talented editor she is now,” said Jennifer Lederman, BlueRock’s VP/Managing Director. “When the opportunity came up to hire her as a freelance editor, I jumped on it, and since then she’s knocked every project we’ve thrown at her out of the park. Making her a permanent part of our team was a no-brainer.”
Ankori started telling stories at a young age through dance and music, but once she found her way into an editing suite at Boston University she never looked back. She started out her editing career at RedCar NY, ultimately arriving at Blue Rock from New York-based Beast.
