Ear Candy Shop has settled into a new home in East LA with the announcement of it’s Silverlake-based studio space. The space previously housed the LA outpost of One Thousand Birds and features two sound treated suites, a lounge and kitchen inside of a gated compound.
After a short summer build out to convert the space into a music production facility the new Ear Candy studios are equipped with Dolby Atmos mixing capabilities, a vintage SSL board and the only all-Focal immersive mixing set up in LA.
Ear Candy’s new LA outpost also houses the studio of legendary music audio engineer Andy Baldwin, who got his start as an apprentice for Nick Cave before setting up a studio in New York and later relocating to LA. His credits include Bjork (Biophilia), St.Lucia, Haerts, Ill Peach, The Cat Empire, Elle King and many others.
Along with the new studio announcement, Ear Candy has revamped its website including its latest work for Coca-Cola and the Seattle International Film Festival. Visit the new website at here.
