E. Wedel Unwraps an Enticing Chocolate Explosion with Bites Studio

Poland’s leading chocolate brand, E. Wedel, has unwrapped a dark and delectable new campaign with the expertise of tabletop specialists, Bites Studio.

The captivating concept centres on evoking the rich and distinctive world of E. Wedel’s dark chocolate: its unique texture and structure, intense depth of flavour, and nuanced balance of sweetness and bitterness. Bringing a wealth of experience in producing exciting, mouthwatering visuals, Bites Studio was granted a wide scope to explore this theme through the creation of an immersive journey.

In collaboration with Watchout Studio and 2012 Agency, Bites organised a two-day shoot schedule, deploying two units concurrently. The first unit focused on capturing live-action scenes within a constructed apartment setting; the second unit on producing special effects by employing specialist motion control technology.

The final film sees Bites Studio choreograph an explosion of chocolate to the tune of Michael Bublé’s ‘Feeling Good', moments of calm juxtaposing dynamic intensity in a dramatic odyssey of indulgence. Appealing to multiple senses, it extends the experience of savouring E. Wedel dark chocolate beyond the screen, irresistible in its taste, aroma, and texture.

Kuba Kozłowski, Bites Studios’ head of production, comments: "Tackling chocolate presents its own set of complexities. For this E. Wedel project, capturing the bar’s intricate details, shapes, and texture was paramount. Achieving this level of precision required the creation of detailed mock-ups, both of individual pieces and the entire bar, all scaled up from the original product. What followed was the artistry of our special effects team, who transformed these elements into a spectacle of chocolate explosions and cocoa bursts, showcasing their magic and expertise."
