Duo LeonelRueben Sign to RadicalMedia
RadicalMedia have signed directing duo LeonelRuben for UK commercial representation.
They are Berlin and London based, with a background in documentary filmmaking, feature film and writing.
The duo began their partnership at the renowned film school Filmakademie Baden Württemberg and Film University Babelsberg. The duo met on the set of Ruben’s graduate film “ATTAK,” shortly after Leonel had finished directing and producing his own first feature “ENDE NEU”, which was later nominated for Best Young German Cinema Award at the Munich Film Festival 2018 and shown at on German Television and at several film festivals worldwide.
The duo’s work is concerned with strong character-led narratives. They imbue their commercial work with a strong storytelling quality, having directed and produced commercials and editorials for brands including Nike, VW, Mercedes and Vogue. Their striking visuals have been demonstrated in music videos for major artists, including Max Herre.
LeonelRueben’s fashion film “AKOG - Golden Nugget“ was shown and shortlisted for four awards at Berlin Fashion Film Festival 2018 and the Bokeh Fashion Film Festival 2018. Their short film “US & The Universe” was shortlisted at the Berlin Commercial Festival 2019 for three awards. Alongside their commercial and short film projects the duo are working on their first feature series together.
