Duncan Russell Joins Finish as Senior Colourist
Finish have welcomed the arrival of Senior Colourist Duncan Russell to their award winning grading team.
Offering a wealth of experience after stints at VTR, Prime Focus and Smoke and Mirrors, and most recently heading up the grading team at Glassworks, Russell has become one of the leading commercials colourists in the UK. His obsession for creating beautiful images and bringing out the best in his client's material has seen him rise up the Televisual charts to 4th ranked VFX artist.
Russell comments, ‘Finish have struck the perfect balance between expertise and approachability. The work is sumptuous, the people relaxed, organised and focused. For me it's an opportunity to learn, to improve and spend time with good people.’
Welcoming Russell into the team at Finish, Head of Grading Paul Harrison comments "I've admired Duncan's work for some time for his unique artistic sensibility and he felt exactly the right fit for our expanding grading team at Finish."
As well as Harrison, Russell also joins Colourists Julien Biard, recent winner of a Kinsale Shark for his grade on the ‘Out Of the Black’ promo for Royal Blood, and rising star Holly Greig.
Notable works include grades for NatWest, including their most recent spot ‘Chair’ for M&C Saatchi, Freeview’s infamous ‘Cat & Budgie’ and Kellogg’s ‘Crunchy Nut Granola’ for Leo Burnett.
