'Exit', HAMLET's new campaign for OnePlus, created and directed by French directors duo Julien & Quentin, takes us on a bubbly energetic ride from dreary desk to... well... the exit! The campaign was conceived by Julien Martorell and Quentin Garabedian, music for this spirited commercial was also composed by the latter.
Directors Julien & Quentin comment, "OnePlus had this idea of a girl escaping from the gloom of a boring office, and the idea of transforming it into a dance piece came to us very quickly. We have a special bond with dance, it's a world that fascinates us. During our research we came across Marie Louise Hertog, who is part of this young generation of dancers who are developing their own language. Choreography and shot list were created on set in two days, with the help of choreographer Yaman Okur. The collaboration was as fluid and energetic as the result!”
The film is all about a positive energy that our main character brings. They make everyone feel something, spreading happiness in a place that's become very dull and predictable. Think of the film like a dance performance. On one side, you have the other workers doing the same boring tasks over and over again. On the other side, you have the main character who moves gracefully, adds some fun, and brings a touch of madness. It's like a smooth and musical dance in the middle of a repetitive and almost robotic routine. The hero's moves should inspire the audience just like they do in the film. They should make you want to live life to the fullest, be yourself, and break the rules.
The campaign will be released online in Europe and Asia.
