Director “Weird Al” Yankovic Joins First Wave

Director "Weird Al” Yankovic, famous for satirical music videos parodying pop artists such as Michael Jackson, Nirvana and Lady Gaga, has signed with First Wave for exclusive representation for commercials and branded entertainment projects.

 

Yankovic has established himself as one of the most innovative and successful music video parody recording artists in the US. For over twenty five years, Yankovic has sold over 12 million albums, recorded more than 150 parody songs and directed music videos for himself and other artists including the Black Crowes, Ben Folds, The Presidents of the United States of America and Hanson.

 

Known for classic parodies such as “White & Nerdy”, “Smells Like Nirvana”, “Eat It” & “Fat” and the beloved “Amish Paradise”, Al’s recent Directorial credits include a somewhat shocking, yet seemingly sexy music video off of his latest album Alpocalypse entitled “Perform This Way” (Parody of “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga), in which Yankovic’s head is superimposed on“Lady Gaga’s” body.

 

First Wave’s roster also includes Director/Funnyman Jamie Kennedy and Michael Sugarman.
