Regarded as the filmic triumph that marked a turning point in their directorial career, 'Robot' exemplified just how spectacularly their romantic, craft-driven visions merged with the world of commerce.
Another milestone spot in their career, their spy film for Smirnoff 'Undercover' uses the spy genre as its playground, crafting an espionage adventure that submerges audiences in a vivid world of glamorous suspense and intriguing secrecy. “From this simple script about a suitcase, we were able to build a world, not only in terms of script but in terms of art direction,” said Nico.
Clan’s work is advanced by their voracious appetite for challenge, whether faced with the constraint of a shorter piece or the gauntlet thrown by comedy. “Our new projects are shorter and funnier than the ones we used to do, and we are really excited by that turn,” says Nico. Like comedic visual poems, Clan’s vibrant vignettes for Facebook exemplify the possibility of striking craft and storytelling within concise and humorous films.
