Generator has recently announced the signing of director Ben Sedley. Sedley is a Royal College of Art graduate who used his time there writing and directing short films. Following graduation from the RCA he took the plunge and made a proper short film called Rayon.
Rayon was selected and screened at the Edinburgh Film Festival. The success of the film enabled a swift transition into commercials and music videos. Work and success came quickly.
Ben’s knack for great storytelling and superb casting has led to him directing high profile spots for many leading brands including Maltesers, Renault, Napster, Boots, The Observer, Phillips, Sharwoods, Kelloggs, Tesco, Red Cross, Vodafone, Marmite, MacMillan, Johnnie Walker, Esso, 3 Mobile, Asda, Bupa and the BBC. His spot for Greenpeace, which he co-wrote, was celebrated with awards at D&AD and BTAA while MTV knife crime garnered a Cannes Silver Lion.
Ben Sedley says on joining Generator: "Generator have been on my radar for quite a while and it felt like the right time to join such a forward thinking and exciting production company.”
