In 2017, Generator director Ben Ockrent wrote and directed the star-studded short film 'Edmund the Magnificent', produced by HAUS Pictures. Featuring performances from David Bradley, Rebecca Front and Mark Bonnar, 'Edmund the Magnificent' tells the tale of a lonely farmer’s attempt to rekindle his former, pig-rearing glory days.
With its rich, warm colour palette and lyrical narration (the dulcet tones of Sir Ian McKellen, no less) the film has a storybook quality which services it’s uncynical exploration of acceptance. As with the aforementioned farmer, Edmund is bound to warm your heart.
After the successful stint around global festivals, the full film is now launching online. Check it out below.
