Stink Films is announcing the signing of Tim Groetzinger to its Rising roster. The director and creative director built an impressive portfolio over the past decade working on the global campaigns of Mercedes-Benz and its sub-brands like Mercedes-Maybach and Mercedes-AMG. For the last seven years, he has played a key role in redefining Mercedes-Benz's aesthetical world, spearheading its transformation from a traditional premium car brand to a cutting-edge luxury icon with a distinctive, modern visual identity, all through his creative leadership at agency antoni.
Tim rose up the ranks honing his craft and developing a fluent understanding of how to creatively evolve a brand over time. He specialised in visual language, concepting, and creative execution, bringing a distinct blend of innovation and precision to one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands. With his pragmatic yet artistic approach, he developed an ability to understand and speak to the needs and desires of brands, now making him something of a unicorn at Stink. His standout campaigns, including the Moncler Collaboration, the sustainable fashion collection in collaboration with Acte and fashion film 'After Dark' for Vogue in collaboration with Stini Roehrs, have earned top honours at the industry’s most prestigious shows, from Cannes Lions to ADC, One Show, and beyond.
As a director, Tim leverages his skillset and design sensibility to bring a refined aesthetic and narrative depth to commercial filmmaking. He is driven by a passion for visual storytelling and production approaches. Tim’s directorial career will be supported by Stink Germany’s internal team led by MD, Justin Stiebel, head of sales, Cathe Koche, and head of Stink Rising, Florian Huelbig, whose mission is to continue raising the creative bar in the DACH region and delivering craft excellence to brands and agencies.
“A person wiser than me once told me, quoting is the death of thinking. So no quote from me, but…. \ō=o_ This is a racing car made of symbols. It’s for you! Copy and paste wherever you want to drive it.” said Tim Groetzinger, director, Stink Films Germany.
"From our first conversations it was clear to me that Tim had a bright future in visual storytelling. His passion and vision are undeniable, and I’m genuinely excited to support him on this new journey with Stink. I know we’re going to do great things together." said Justin Stiebel, managing director, Stink Films Germany.
