Moxie, a full-service digital agency that is owned by ZenithOptimedia and is part of Publicis Groupe SA, announced today that Sean Reardon will be taking over as CEO following the departure of current CEO Suzy Deering.
A seasoned industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience, Reardon is presently the CEO of Roar, a Publicis Groupe Solution created two years ago to spearhead digital marketing efforts on behalf of JPMorgan Chase. He will continue to serve as CEO of Roar, as well as now Moxie.
“I’ve had the pleasure to work with Moxie for much of the past decade,” shared Reardon. “I’ve watched it grow from its modest beginnings to become the 500+-staff, multimarket, digitally advanced organization it is today. The opportunity in front of me is one I embrace with great enthusiasm.” He added, “Suzy has done an amazing job setting an upward trajectory, and I look forward to keeping the momentum going."
Deering, who has been at the helm of Moxie since 2012, will be leaving the agency to step into the role of CMO at eBay.
“Moxie holds a special place in my heart,” said Deering, “and I’ve grown professionally while having the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest talent. I’m excited to pass the reins to someone whom I respect and know will take Moxie and its clients to the next level."
Tim Jones, Chairman of ZenithOptimedia Group,
commented that, "Moxie has enjoyed continuing growth under Suzy's
leadership, which helped galvanize the company's suite of digital capabilities,
powered by advanced data solutions and technology. Suzy leaves with our thanks
and good wishes for the future as she takes on a new exciting role at eBay. In
Sean,” he added, “we have a leader who is perfectly equipped and totally
deserving of the opportunity to take the lead at Moxie while continuing to
oversee Roar."
