After a ten-year run as Founder, Managing Partner and EP of East Pleasant, David Weinstein has landed in an exciting place — The Station — where he will be working with the award-winning teams of The Station and LOOKER, as well as its sister companies The Lodge, The Diner and The Music Playground (more affectionately referred to by their initials as “The LSD Group”) across its single-workflow production and post facility with editorial, animation, motion graphics, original music, music licensing, audio post and color grading all under one roof and team.
“David brings with him over ten years of production and creative experience at the industry’s highest level, and he really understands the specialized creative workflow that The Station and LOOKER have developed,” said Drew Stein, Founder of the LSD Group and one of The Station’s EPs . “As both a Producer and Director, David is unique in that he has the ability to bring a broad creative and production skillset to bare on our projects to help clients achieve great outcomes. Especially in an environment where maximizing budgets is so critical to delivering value, David is a seamless addition.”
The
Station was one of the original pioneers of “all-in” production and
post-production from its inception nine years ago. It was one of the first
companies to partner with production companies to integrate and package
live-action production and post on projects. The addition of Weinstein sees The
Station not only building on its deep experience and expertise in integrated
production, but welcoming another senior partner who can work with both the creative
and the production teams of its clients. Prior to founding East Pleasant in 2004, a company focused on
commercial content and Emmy Award–winning long-form branded entertainment, David
was with NBC Sports and CBS creating video content for major events including
the Super Bowl, World Series, and Final Four.
As the trend toward bidding projects on an “all-in” basis continues for agencies, it's clear that companies like The Station have been able to operate at the industries’ highest levels, garnering significant creative awards in the recent past for their “all-in” post-production, including a One Show Gold Pencil; Silver and Bronze Cannes Lions; a Clio Award; an Adweek Watch Award; and a nomination for an LIAA.
“I‘m
excited to join The Station and work with such a terrific team,” says
Weinstein. “Few companies have the talent, facility and experience to
consistently deliver creative results and win awards. The Station and LOOKER work side-by-side
with their clients, engaging them from pre-production, to production and
through post, and that's the kind of process that I know drives value and great
results. I am excited to continue their
growth and evolution and look forward to sharing my passion and experience with
their partners and clients.”
