DaHouse, the audio production company behind fundamental commercials for brands like Volkswagen, Kia, Sony, Hyundai, Doritos and more, has announced its official debut in the United States in partnership with established record producer and sound engineer Mario Caldato Jr., better known as Mario C. The company will be working together with Caldato’s studios and collective Amor in Sound in Los Angeles, and will be hiring three professionals to represent DaHouse.
DaHouse recognises the US has been at the forefront of the music and advertising industry, and is home to many iconic brands in their scope, having already worked with American companies such as Ford, Hellmann’s and Vans. By launching offices specifically in Los Angeles, the company and its producers will be able to expand their influence and share their craft with even more brands and audiences than ever before. Known for his work with the Beastie Boys, Jack Johnson, Yoko Ono and more, Caldato will bring his knowledge and experience as Music Director and US Partner to share new references, ideas and ways of recording that will teach DaHouse’s producers how to get the best possible sound for their clientele.
“We’re very excited to not only be setting up shop in the heart of Los Angeles, but also to be working and collaborating alongside the iconic Mario C.,” says Lucas Mayer, founder of DaHouse. “It’s been a long time coming for Mario and I to be working together, as people always tried to connect us. It wasn't until our creative director Monique Maion introduced us that we made magic happen. We were like two boats traveling in parallel that didn’t cross paths for over 20 years.”
As the first of many projects, Caldato will be assisting DaHouse and the animation company Final Frontier in implementing WAVE, the very first DJ in the metaverse, and mixing their sounds. Beginning with the song ‘Diamond Cages,’ the track will use Brazilian musical artist Gustavo Bertoni to express the feeling of being locked inside one’s own metaverse.
