Stylised promo made through Radar Music Videos

Człowiek Kamera has directed a highly simplistic and stylised music video for Andrew Bayer, made through Radar Music Videos

The music video has a effortless feel with the cast floating in mid air, giving a dreamless feel. You can tell every shot from Człowiek was thoroughly thought out, they look like a photograph. The video has been shared on the influential blog, The Curious Brain and chosen as a Vimeo Staff Pick.

We caught up with Człowiek to hear how he wasn't completely satisfied with the final video, and his experiences of filming in Poland in temperatures below freezing.

'Treatment contained less details. As a result, the whole turned out to be very similar to the concept. Each sequence (ascent, disappearing, falling) has been included in the conceptual sketches, I have not done anything over or omitted. I try to trust myself, who wrote the concept. However, it doesn’t mean that I switch off my creative mind while making the clip.'

'I adore working with implementation of particular shots. I never know what the final result will look like. There are many possibilities. If I don’t try sufficiently, It’ll go bad. Yet usually I have enough amount of life power to complete it. I also adore meeting new ,interesting people. I cooperate with those who are main characters in the clip. It is very important to find the common language, to keep the dialogue. For me, as a director, it’s necessary to have a skill like the possibility of clear transmission of information.'

'To be honest, I’ve never been very satisfied by the final result. That what the clip shows, it is about 40% of that what I want to perform. There are sometimes unexpected things that enable the realisation of the clip or force me to change my mind. For example, last winter unexpectedly stayed longer in Poland, what made me go on more or less unexpected concessions. Some sequences were filmed when there was a hard frost, about -25C.'

'I conclude, that I have to accept realities (the weather condition, etc.), it can’t be like the other way round. It is impossible to predict how the nature behave and probably that is why we feel the respect. I do my best to develop my skills of communication with the envoirment and with people as well. I can’t lose control over the plan, but sometimes things happen. Yet the world goes in favour of me!'

Allan McGrath from Involved Management gave his personal insight to the video.

'A very personal project for us all and something very different for us musically. For "Lose Sight", we were looking for a video that represented the beauty and dreaminess of the track in a visually engaging and unique way.'

'We wanted something that was edgy without being pretentious and also slightly abstract and challenging in its allure… much like the music itself. Człowiek Kamera totally nailed the brief, coming up with an innovative and original treatment. He was a joy to work with and clearly got the artistic spirit behind the music.'
