Cut+Run’s rising star Chris Roebuck has been with the London-based edit house for two years – and after very quickly establishing himself as one of the most sought after editors in the music video industry, he’s now making waves in the commercial world too.
Chris prides himself in being a versatile editor, with 2014 seeing him work with award-winning directors on a wide range of projects, from high profile commercial campaigns, to MVA nominated pop promos; including music videos for Jungle "Busy Earnin'" by Oliver Hadlee Pearch, Sigma Ft. Paloma Faith "Changing" by Craig Moore and La Roux "Kiss and Not Tell" by Alexander Brown, as well as working on commercials for Scottish Widows, Carex and Three Sixty Vodka. With an already reputable showreel and some highly anticipated releases in tow, the young editor has proved himself to be the ‘one to watch’ in 2015.
Cut+Run Editor and Partner, Ben Campbell, says, "I knew Chris was the right man for us within 10 seconds of him walking through our doors and my opinion of him hasn't changed. Not only is he technically complete and with a great sense of timing and musicality as you would expect of a man with his experience, his approach and attitude to work has an unparalleled positivity and enthusiasm. There is nothing I could throw at him that would be any problem at all. It's this that makes him stand out to me."
Toby Abbott, Cut+Run’s Managing Director adds “Cut+Run has an exceptional track record in growing and nurturing world leading editing talent. Chris's achievements speak volumes about his editing ability, attitude and his personality. He is, quite simply, a pleasure to spend time with.
His success has highlighted the need for us to further ensure our young editors have the tools and infrastructure to develop their talent fully. Cut+Run has embarked on a major investment plan which will see our Wardour Street office increase its capacity and enable us to create two new edit suites dedicated to promos and digital content. New talent is a common thread between ourselves and Production Companies and we hope this investment will enable us to offer our clients yet more solutions without the compromises that are often dictated by this budgetary challenged market place.”
With a thriving roster of young editors, Cut+Run is also proud to announce the new Promos and Content section of their website to showcase their up-and-coming talent.
