Curious Film Directors Receive BAFTA Nominations

Respect and congratulations go to Curious directors Sasha Rainbow and Taika Waititi for their BAFTA nominations this year. 

Sasha Rainbow’s ’Kamali’ is nominated for the 2020 BAFTA Best British Short Film. This prestigious nomination comes after achieving a long list of golden wreaths at film festivals including Raindance, Camerimage and Atlanta Film Festival amongst many other wins.

Kamali tells the story of a single Indian mother's fight for her daughter's empowerment through skateboarding.

Taika's Jojo Rabbit is nominated for best adapted screenplay, and in five other categories, including fellow kiwi’s Tom Eagles for Editing and Ra Vincent for Production Design.
