Boutique media platform and creative agency crush+lab fortifies its multifaceted roster with the addition of Mike Ferry as Head Of Development. Ferry brings an originative and collaborative spirit to the company's expanding creative lineup, headed by Executive Producer/Director David Solomini, along with EP Alexander Kafi and Creative Director/Producer Paula Tabalipa,

The Indiana-born Ferry was initiated into the world of entertainment while working at the iconic satirical bimonthly MAD Magazine in New York. After making his way out west to focus on television, he landed at boutique production company Super Delicious.  From there, he shaped a diverse and expansive body of work ranging from the wildly successful Food Network reality show Cupcake Wars to pop culture-centric game shows for E!, to creative consulting for the upcoming Marvel action film The Fantastic Four at 20th Century Fox.

Ferry is known as a consummate student of genre, enabling him to effortlessly shift gears and harness the power of story from all angles. His drive to create original and intelligent media is directly in-step with the crush+lab ideology.

“The most exciting part of crush+lab is our mission to elevate whatever genre and medium we are working in, and always ask ‘Why?’ Sometimes our shows are inspirational, other times the goal is to promote change in the world,” says Ferry. “Trying to tell a story that hasn’t been told before drives everything we do. We want to tell the story that no one else is telling, but that everybody is ready to hear.”

Ferry is already putting this crush+lab ethos into action, having recently developed the inspiring 10-episode series @LARGE - Creators at Work for Red Bull Media House.  Hosted by tastemaker and Grammy-nominated producer Diplo and directed by crush+lab's David Solomini, each episode delves into the fascinating lives and work of contemporary artists from around the world. The series covers subjects as varied as Ron English, the “Godfather of street art,” as he gives away art through a fake storefront in return for donations to a women's shelter, to media visionary Blake Shaw and his work with young artists on both sides of the Israel/Palestine border.
