Creativity Never Dies: Werewolves & Zombies for ADC Young Guns

What do twinky cats & mummies have in common? Immortality and a psychedelic role in posters announcing the Art Directors’ Club Young Guns 12 international creative competition. 

Created by Deutsch NY this year’s theme is “Creativity Never Dies” for the ADC’s Young Guns international competition for creative 30 years or younger.

Deutsch Young Guns Menno Kluin and Juan Carlos Pagan teamed with artist Jaime Zuverza to create a poster series for Young Guns 12. Jaime, an Austin-based artist who is also the bass guitarist for musician Bill Callahan, specializes in no-holes-barred illustrations mixing pop-culture, horror and psychedelics

.

Running with the theme "Creativity Never Dies," Jaime and the Deutsch team brought insanity to life with posters of weird creatures that also never die: a twinky cat, a mummy hoarding Ace bandages and a werewolf experimenting with bullet proof high fashion. 

In addition to being honored as Young Guns, Menno (YG6) is currently chair of ADC Young Guns and Juan Carlos (YG11) serves on the organizations committee. The deadline is looming—April 7.  Enter at AdcYoungGuns.org .
