With the basketball legend possibly becoming a free agent next season, these creatives from Ogilvy Sydney suggest he moves Down Under
After sounding rumors that LeBron will hit free agency this next NBA season, other cities and players started to recruit him. That’s when Ogilvy Sydney copywriter Raphael Valenti and art director Fred Corraza had an idea.
“What if we try to recruit LeBron James to Australia?”
That’s when LeBraussie James was born – the result of trying to make LeBron James into an Aussie bloke.
It might have started as a joke, but the duo – originally from Brazil but living in Australia for over a year – decided to make a campaign and try to get James' attention.
They created a recruiting video showing all the reasons why LeBron should consider moving to Australia. From the excellent health care system to change the iconic Sydney Opera House to Sydney LeBronpera House, everything is on the table to convince the King.
Call them crazy, but the Fred and Rapha think they have a fighting chance. After all, LeBron already left Cleveland once and in their opinion, Australia is much sunnier than Miami.
